Digital plus is a component system
The core is the command station which creates the so-called track format based on the commands received from the manual control. In the amplifier, this track format is combined with the energy for the locomotives and other power consumers and then fed back to the track. The decoders continuously read out the track format. As soon as a set address is called up, the decoder filters the relevant commands and translates them into driving or switching functions.
The system consists of five logical groups:
Input
This group comprises all operational devices
- Manual controls
- Interfaces for PC communication
- Telephone adapters for control via cordless telephones
Communication
via XpressNet - an extremely fast network
- At the moment it can integrate up to 31 devices
- Upgrading is possible.
- It can be extended up to 1000 m.
- Connections as desired with the adapter LA152
- Input devices can be unplugged and replugged during operation
Data processing
The command station is responsible for data processing. It co-ordinates the information of input and feedback devices as well as decoders, and creates the track format.
Amplification
of the track format created by the command station. Additional amplifiers are available to ensure that you can cover all kinds of gauges and power requirements.
Execution
These components translate the commands of the input devices into actions.
