Rented/private cars
Leased Cars and Private Freight Cars:
Numerous cars from the DB fleet (especially of the Dresden and Kassel types) were also leased long-term to companies, which customized their cars with unique paintwork and lettering, creating a "colorful" appearance in freight trains. Among the best-known examples are the cars of Miele KG, which at that time not only produced washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, and other household appliances but also supported the newfound mobility of German citizens with mopeds. Additionally, many companies owned private freight cars, identifiable by their numbers starting with 5.
The Models: Type Gl(r) 22 Dresden
The Dresden cars leased to the companies "Miele" and "Bähre" are typical examples of freight cars from the post-war economic boom and are essential for any Epoch III freight train. Slightly less known but equally attractive are the private car "Kuba" and the model leased to the "Holzindustrie Hunsrück" company.
