The E 44

We started our Elok family with the "firecracker", the E 41. The next new project will be the class E 44 vintage electric locomotive. The locomotive was built 187 times since 1932 and was only taken out of service in the Federal Republic of Germany in 1984. The locomotive ran in the GDR until 1991 and was the first series locomotive to have bogies without running axles and proved to be very reliable. Drive via a high-performance motor
Decoder with USP and energy storage as well as numerous functions and sound already integrated
The lamps are equipped with maintenance-free LEDs
In digital mode, the front and rear headlights can be switched on and off separately, the brightness can be set separately from other lights
The driver's cab lighting can be switched separately from the headlight
The shunting gear reduces the speed of the locomotive by approx. half, so shunting movements can be carried out with particular precision; shunting light means that both the front and rear (white) lamps are switched on regardless of the direction of travel
The prototypically designed pantographs can be controlled individually in digital mode; in analogue mode, the pantograph at the rear in the direction of travel is always raised automatically. The height of the pantograph can be set digitally to ensure that the contact strip is just below the model overhead line.
