Tender locomotive BR 01
BR 01 - the role model
The DB locomotive for heavy express train service. The 01 was the first series-produced standard steam locomotive with the 2C1 axle arrangement (Pacific locomotives). The 01 was built from 1925 to 1938, and in the early 1950s the Wagner wind deflectors were replaced with the Witte type. Between 1957 and 1961, some locomotives were fitted with new boilers.
BR 01 - das Modell
This locomotive model also impresses with its rich equipment and - like all Lenz locomotives - with its detailed representation true to the original. Equipment of the BR 01 in addition to the standard equipment:
- Decoder with USP and energy storage as well as numerous functions and sound already integrated
- Prototypical locomotive-tender distance.
- Noiseless motor control enables smooth, jerk-free running and particularly good low-speed characteristics
- The speed of the motor is determined by an angular magnetic sensor mounted on the motor shaft
- The lamps are equipped with maintenance-free LEDs
- In digital mode, the front and rear headlights can be switched on and off separately, the brightness can be set separately from other lights
- The driver's cab lighting can be switched separately from the top light, and the brightness can be adjusted separately from other lighting
- The shunting gear reduces the speed of the locomotive by approx. half, so shunting movements can be carried out with particular precision; shunting light means that both the front and rear (white) lamps are switched on regardless of the direction of travel
The Lenz locomotive tender coupling
With this coupling mimic, the R1 radius (914 mm) can also be travelled with a prototypical distance between the locomotive and tender. This Video (using the example of the BR 50) shows how the locomotive and tender are connected and disconnected.
Equipment for all Lenz 0-gauge locomotives and traction units:
All 0-gauge locomotives from Lenz set standards in terms of equipment, functionality and fidelity to the original:
- Mixed metal/plastic construction
- High-performance motor
- Flange height less than 1.2 mm
