BR 86 - the role model
The class 86 is a standard freight locomotive, initially used in the lowlands on branch lines, after WW2 also in the low mountain ranges. Apart from Krauss-Maffei, all major locomotive factories were involved in building the 774 locomotives. The last DB 86 was taken out of service in 1974.
BR 86 - the model
This locomotive model also impresses with its rich equipment and - like all Lenz locomotives - with its faithfully detailed representation. We supply the 86 in different variants of eras 2, 3 and 4 (also as DR version). Equipment of the BR 86 in addition to the standard equipment:
- Metal model
- Decoder with USP and energy storage as well as numerous functions and sound already integrated
- The lamps are equipped with maintenance-free LEDs
- In digital mode, the front and rear headlights can be switched on and off separately, the brightness can be set separately from other lights
- The driver's cab lighting can be switched separately from the top light, and the brightness can be adjusted separately from other lighting
- The shunting gear reduces the speed of the locomotive by approx. half, so shunting movements can be carried out with particular precision; shunting light means that both the front and rear (white) lamps are switched on regardless of the direction of travel
- High-performance motor
- Flange height less than 1.2 mm
