Silver pieces
Lenz track 0 Silberlinge - Prototype
Around 5000 of these carriages were built between 1958 and 1980, following on from the yl carriages, and some are still in use today. These local transport carriages had two double doors per carriage side and were therefore designed for fast passenger changes in local transport. Colloquially, the carriages were called Silberlinge. They owe this name to the colour of the originally unpainted car body made of bright, stainless steel with brushed-on beadwork in a peacock's eye pattern.
The first series coaches were put into service from 1959. Under the class designations B4nb-59 for second class carriages, AB4nb-59 for first and second class carriages and BD4nf for second class carriages with luggage compartment and driver's cab. Both head forms of the driving trailer are produced.
These interesting passenger cars are made with metal walls and equipped with lighting, interior fittings and close coupler mechanisms. The control car is equipped with a sound decoder to be able to give prototypical whistle signals.
