Good things take time.
The production of series models with a sophisticated look that is as true to the original as possible and with high-quality technology is still a time-consuming process, even with the most modern production methods. It often takes many months from the idea for a model to the ready-for-sale product, during which numerous work steps alternate with checks, corrections, improvements or even new concepts. Innovative developments such as the Lenz 0-gauge close coupler or the digital drive of our points require extensive practical testing.
The status display keeps you informed about the development status of the model at all times:
Construction: The idea becomes a drawing. The mould is built on the basis of this drawing.
Mould making: The design drawings have been completed and approved, and mould construction has begun.
Pattern: The first samples. Colours, shapes, printing and technology are checked and corrected if necessary. Practical tests reveal any weak points.
Production: The sample is released for production. The model, operating instructions and packaging are produced.
In the inlet: The finished model is on its way to us.
Delivery: The finished model is available ex works and is delivered to specialist dealers.
New edition: The model is reissued. Samples are now being produced again, after which production can start again.
sold out ex works: The model is sold out from the Lenz factory, but may still be available from specialist dealers. A new edition has not yet been decided.
